This first blog post is to announce the relaunch of soundthing's 2.0 website. To those friends, fans and followers who I know faithfully hold the soundthing candle, I will be posting new music from this last summer's sessions during this week of CMJ 2011. It took me all last summer to nail the new production tools. As many of you know, it was a hard bullet to bite investing so much in the new Imac and the various software suites (like Waves, the PSP series and the Abbey Road suite), but the sonic outcome has made it all seem worth it.
I hope you all like the new songs that will be coming each day during CMJ and then I myself look forward to introducing everyone to my new artist discoveries from the summer past. There is a lot of new music in the air, here, there and everywhere. I really believe there will be an Arab Spring-like musical uprising to coincide with all the other worldwide upheavals, and as musicians, I feel we are blessed to have a musical part to play in the new days coming.
